Why should I buy my chandelier from King's Chandelier Company?
Since 1935, three generations of Kings have taken great pride in the creation of timeless elegance. Our clients include many 2nd and 3rd generation buyers, and we can still match component pieces for the chandeliers we sold to their parents and grandparents. Because we do our own designing and importing, we can offer you top quality in material and design at prices comparable to wholesale prices of other brands. Our knowledgeable staff is patient and courteous and will gladly answer any questions or concerns. When you order from us, your chandelier is made just for you, from start to finish, of component pieces, and if any questions arise in the process, we'll call you for clarification. Amazingly enough, we are usually able to ship your completed chandelier within 4 weeks.
What size chandelier do I need?
Please see the page.
Should I use the silvery metal or the brass metal on the crystal-armed chandeliers?
There are few visible metal pieces in the chandelier and most of these are inside the crystal pieces. The silvery metal blends in with the crystal and is not obvious (other than the chain and canopy). With the silvery choice, we run a clear wire through the crystal arms. The brass metal has a polished look (on the crystal-armed models only) and glows through the crystal. With the brass choice, we run a gold toned wire through the crystal arms. Either choice is beautiful. ,, the , and the are available in hand polished brass only.
Is there really a big difference with the crystal?
Absolutely. If you have any doubt, find a local dealer in the Swarovski crystal figurine collectibles. Imagine that brilliance hanging in abundance on a chandelier.
How do you keep everything from breaking in shipment?
Decades of experience. Everything is wrapped and packed carefully and insured by us, from our factory to you. If anything does break in shipping, we'll replace the component and take up the claim with the shipper ourselves.
How difficult are the chandeliers to assemble and install?
Some of the chandeliers, such as the tier models, are shipped assembled with the hanging crystals ready to go into the fixture. Most of the Victorian chandeliers require a simple pipe to body assembly with the hanging crystal ready to go into the fixture. The crystal-armed chandeliers are shipped with the arms out of the body of the fixtures. The arms must be inserted into the bottom plate and wired to one another and the main wire. One bottom piece screws to the main fixture and the chandelier must be dressed. Simple but complete instructions are sent, as well as your ceiling hardware (chain, ceiling plate, crossbar, and screw-loop). Please note that we have put together your fixture in its entirety before taking the arms out for shipping. If you are reasonably close to our location, someone from our production team can give you a quote for installation charges.
I want a chandelier or sconce, but the location isn't wired. Any suggestions?
Wired sconces can be anchored to a wall with a wire and plug running to a nearby outlet. The same can be done for a chandelier. Or, we will gladly make any of our fixtures for real candles.
I really like a particular model, but was wondering if I could get it in a larger size?
Larger, smaller, taller, shorter, less crystal, more crystal, different crystal - we'll be happy to make any changes that we can. However, in many cases, there exist different versions of the same fixture and we can direct you to the one that would suit you best.
I've found the chandelier that I want, but there is no matching sconce. Can you make one?
We can make sconces to match just about all of our chandeliers.
My mom has a catalog from 1979, and I see a chandelier in there that is not in your present line. Can you still make it?
More often than not, an item is no longer listed in our catalog due to simple lack of interest; however, occasionally items are discontinued due to the unavailability of particular pieces. Let us know the model number and we'll investigate as to whether it can still be made.
Can I put some type of shades on my fixtures?
All of the fixtures with candelabra sockets will take the clip on shades. Because of the infinite shapes and fabrics, we don't supply them; however, they are readily available at most home décor stores. We do supply the glass hurricane shades or "chimneys" as they are sometimes called. These can be fitted to the fixtures that have candelabra sockets. Examples of what we use are seen on the and the . Contact us for pricing.
What if I don't like the chandelier once it is in my room?
Unless an item was rushed or custom, we will refund your purchase price, not including shipping and less a 10% restocking fee, if items are returned post paid and in good condition. Returns must be made within 15 business days of receipt. We don't accept returns on parts, rush orders, or custom fixtures. We don't charge a restocking fee on exchanges.
Why do you charge my credit card when I place the order?
Everything in our catalog is made to order. The process of building your chandelier or sconce begins just after you place your order. Because your fixture is made for you, to your specifications, we process your credit card the same day.
Do you have a that I can visit?
Like all good Southerners, we love company and would welcome the chance to show off our chandeliers. In truth, the beauty of these lighting fixtures is impossible to capture in photographs so if you have the opportunity to visit, we recommend that you do so. Our main showroom is on Business 85 in High Point - located in Furniture Avenue Galleries (across the Highway from FurnitureLand South and beside Boyles Furniture). If you need accommodations for the night, we'll be happy to make recommendations.
How do I clean my chandelier?
Click here for our , or if you are reasonably close to our location (Eden NC), a member of our staff can give you a quote.
Are you U. L. Listed?
Yes. Our fixtures conform to U. L. standards and display the U. L. listing.
What kind of bulbs do I use & where can I buy them?
Base size and maximum wattage are identified on all of the descriptions. The proper sized bulbs in the wattage of your choice are included with your order. We recommend and use the clear, plain torpedo shape so that nothing distracts or diminishes the crystal effect. We also prefer 40watt bulbs in the chandeliers. Bulbs can be purchased at most home stores and general retail stores or you can purchase them from us.
